HotShoo – Building Porn
HotShoo is a cool new startup software service that is about to come out of stealth mode any day now. I had the opportunity to see a brief—10 minute, demo of their service a few nights ago.
Interface: way cool. They went for the black background with bright poppy colors and lots of opaque overlays. Fast and snappy were the two words that jumped out at me during the demo. No waiting between sorts and searches. Quick swipes, movements between photos like they had a pane of glass showing off different photos.
What does it do: Basically it’s a photo site geared specifically for architect designers. When a design firm is trying to communicate an idea about a new building design, currently there are very few resources available. Out of necessity, the developer, architect designers themselves, came up with the concept to share such photography design with other designers.
Resources are supplied through independent contributors who love to photograph the inside and outside of buildings. Believe it or not, there are business’s wrapped around this concept.
